The Netflix is a Joke "Portraits of Comedy" campaign expanded the 2024 festival identity into a full visual universe—bold, irreverent, playful, and deeply character-driven. Using its vibrant palette and layered "sticker" design system, we created a world where each comedian's personality could come through, while everything remained connected within a cohesive visual language.
Partnering with SNL photographer Mary Ellen Matthews, we captured 25 of the world's top comedians in cinematic portraits that balanced humor, personality, and design. The result brought the brand to life—uniting an unprecedented roster of talent under the unmistakable spirit of the world's largest comedy festival.
