The Visual Drift
I've always held onto images that inspire me—a habit that began in the golden era of Tumblr.
During the long COVID lockdowns in 2020, I started assembling them into a giant mood board. It gave me something to do during those endless stay-at-home stretches, and something to stare at other than my monitor.
Years later, it's still there. The images are faded and falling, but I've struggled to part with this tangible record of what caught my eye during that strange moment in time. So, I set out to preserve the fading mood board digitally, and in doing so, discovered a new way to chronicle all of the visuals that drift across my feeds.
The Visual Drift is an interactive visual record of interest.
A case study of visual culture through my lens.
An always-evolving expression of my personal taste in art, design, typography, and media.
It's a collection of the things that inspire me.
I hope they inspire you too.
